More than half of NC school districts have adopted a 100% tobacco-free school policy, one that bans all tobacco use, everywhere on campus and at campus related events, at all times.   This policy can reduce exposure to secondhand smoke and to role modeling of tobacco use, decrease tobacco use among students and staff, promote cessation, and create a school-wide tobacco-free social norm.  Leadership Forums are an opportunity to learn from school administrators in western North Carolina’s 100% tobacco-free school districts about the values and benefits of this policy.
